There are some destinations in the world which are so good that all you need to do is go there once to get hooked. Even with the whole world to choose from you will find that these places keep drawing you back to them time and time again.

It is no surprise to find that Italy is one of the top names on this list and here are a few reasons why.

The Variety

There are some amazing Italian cities; Milan, Rome and Venice, for example. However, there are also fantastic villages, breathtaking countryside, islands, lakes, mountains and just about anything else you fancy. This means that making trips to different parts of the country can give you completely different experiences each time you travel.

The People

One of the big attractions of going to Italy is to interact with the locals, or even just to watch them. They are renowned for being lively, vivacious people who love life and who aren’t afraid to show their feelings. If  you are feeling a bit down or in need of extra stimulation in your life then being surrounded by lively Italians for a few days should be enough to make you feel more positive.

The Food

Italian cuisine quite rightly enjoys a reputation which is up there with the best in the world. The food on offer varies from region to region and you will find dishes worth trying all over the country. Some people even go on culinary holidays which let them enjoy some cooking classes and try out lots of local specialities. Even if you aren’t quite so keen on food it is still certain to be one of the factors which encourage you to keep on coming back here.

The Language

As well as being a beautiful, melodic language the Italian tongue is also one of the easiest for English speakers to pick up. It can be a hugely rewarding experience to learn this language, especially if you plan to keep making trips to Italy and starting to make friends with the locals. To get you started before you head off there are some great Italian courses in London. However, the popularity of the language among students means that there are also options to learn it all across the UK.  Manchester, Edinburgh and Birmingham are among the places where you can expect to find native Italian speaking teachers to guide you through the process.
